This week we received word that Janet McKay had sadly passed away. Ricky and Janet were members of the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club Of Scotland for many years serving on the Committee in various roles, latterly as Chairman and Treasurer respectively. Janet and Ricky had the Corralyn affix and were extremely proud of Corralyn Budliea Knight who we owned and showed with much success but even more so when they made up Ch. Corralyn Scottische who won Best In Show at the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club Championship Show.
For many years we travelled together to the Championship shows over many thousands of miles and frequently caravaned together. We have fond memories of the holidays we spent together in the Lake District, Ireland and America when we took in the American Speciality in Tennessee, their friendship meant so much and always will.
Janet was always the life and soul of the party, despite often being in pain through her arthritis.
Even when faced with the tragic news that she only had a short time left, Janet faced this with her typical courage, good humour and joy of life.
For us knowing Janet was a great privilege and we extend our sympathies to Ricky, Graham and Leanne and the grandchildren.
